Stephen Ministry
The Stephen Ministry is a confidential, lay-caring ministry grounded in Jesus' command to love one another. Those who are hurting receive love and support through one-to-one caring relationships. The ministry is named after Stephen, one of the first deacons in the early Christian church, commissioned by the apostles to care for the needs of people in the Christian community.
- Is life more than you can handle alone right now?
- Is your health, your attitude, or your relationships suffering?
- Are you adjusting to a new job, change in marital status, a serious illness, the death of a loved one, or a recent move?
- Would you like to have someone in your life that really cares? Everyone goes through difficult times. Having someone to care, to listen, and to share God's love can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness that you may be experiencing.
Everyone goes through difficult times. Having someone to care, to listen, and to share God's love can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness that you may be experiencing. Stephen Ministers are Caregivers... God is the CUREGIVER.

Adult Education
Ever been invited by a friend to attend a Bible study group and thought of all the reasons not to go because you were sure you would feel out of place? Ever wanted to examine what you learned as a child through the eyes of a curious adult? Ever wanted help in overcoming the distance between the worlds of the Bible and 21st century life? If your answer to any of these questions is, “Yes!” we want to help, because Life-long Learning is essential to our growth as Christians.
Throughout the year, we offer a variety of helpful classes, speakers, and discussion groups. A unique pattern of 5-week Sunday morning classes offer a choice of basic Biblical study, current issues, religious history and theology, and an introduction to the Presbyterian Church. Bible study groups also gather Monday mornings for women and Wednesday mornings and noon for men. For those who want to dig deeper into Christian faith and life, a Winter Theology Group chooses a book each year to read and discuss. A new and innovative mid-week program, “Thursday Nights at First,” gathers everyone in our fellowship hall for a prepared meal, then offers a stimulating class for adults, while younger age groups convene for their own learning.
For more information about any of our adult education groups, please contact the church office.
